Sportsmanship is having pride in your community, your school, your team and yourself. It is showing respect for the game and those who play it.
When you play the game you take on the responsibility of good sportsmanship. The Carolina Invitational wants all participants and fans to remember that we are here to compete and have fun. We ask all of you to be proactive and take the responsibility of treating each other with respect. We request your cooperation by supporting the participants, coaches, and officials in a positive manner.
Please don't use profanity of intimidating remarks or actions directed at officials, players, coaches and other fans. Let's be good to one another and understand that the person sitting behind you or the opposing player is here to have a good time and positive experience just like you.
This year we will be awarding 12 sportsmanship awards to the team who shows leadership in promoting good sportsmanship. The awards will be voted on by the coaches, game operations personnel and officials. The awards will go to the school that exemplifies good sportsmanship based on player, coach and fan behavior.
Here's wishing you a great experience this year!
